These Terms of Service govern your use of the Context Container website and Chrome extension, published by Pordix in the United Kingdom. Read them with the Privacy Policy. By using the product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the website and extension.
1. Eligibility and the product
The current AI-enabled service is for professional or business use by people aged 18 or older. You must have authority to accept these terms, including on behalf of an organisation if you use the product for it, and meet the eligibility and location requirements of any connected service.
Context Container creates structured handoffs from conversations you select and inserts saved Contexts into supported AI chats. Its website Library connects to the installed extension in the same Chrome profile and displays local metadata. The hosted AI build requires Google sign-in, an enabled account, an unexpired service session and acceptance of its processing disclosure to create Contexts. Guest access opens the local Library without enabling hosted AI captures. There is no Context Container website account or cloud Library.
You may install and use the extension for its intended features, subject to these terms and applicable law. No ownership of the product’s software, branding, or artwork is transferred to you. Any separately applicable open-source licences continue to govern the components they cover.
2. Your content and responsibilities
You retain whatever rights you have in the material you capture or provide. You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, and lawful authority needed to process, upload, and share it, including information belonging to another person, client, or employer. These terms do not grant rights in a third party’s material or guarantee exclusive rights in AI-generated output.
Your actions authorise the processing and transfers needed to perform the feature you choose. In the hosted AI build, Capture sends selected text and eligible visible previews through the Pordix API to Google Gemini. The server handles that content in operation memory and returns the result without maintaining a cloud Library. Private development builds can call the configured extraction provider directly. Insert or an accepted drop places the Context and supported associated files into the destination chat and activates Send after insertion completes. Sharing provides a copy to a recipient. Check the destination and content before starting an action.
Do not capture, submit, or share material unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, misuse credentials, interfere with the product or its services, or bypass access restrictions. Follow the policies of the source chat, destination chat, extraction provider, browser, and any organisation whose information you handle.
3. External services and AI output
The hosted AI build uses the authenticated Pordix API and the Google AI Studio Gemini API for extraction, Google identity for AI-service sign-in, and Firebase and WebRTC-related services for sharing. Private development builds can use direct provider requests. Hosted service access is subject to account eligibility, daily and short-term usage limits and availability; repeated sign-in does not reset those limits. Attachment downloads contact their source provider; insertion sends content to your selected AI chat. These services are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms, availability, usage limits, and privacy practices. See the external-processing disclosure and Gemini API terms.
AI output can omit, change, or invent information. Verify the resulting handoff before relying on it, particularly code, security instructions, technical findings, and information with financial, legal, medical, or other significant consequences. Context Container does not provide professional advice or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, originality, or fitness of generated Contexts.
Provider data-use conditions can differ between paid and unpaid services. In particular, do not submit sensitive, confidential, or personal information to Google’s unpaid AI services. You remain responsible for choosing material that is appropriate for the services involved.
4. Local data, sharing, and deletion
Your Library is stored in the extension’s browser profile. There is no automatic cloud backup or cross-device sync. Keep an independent copy of information you need. Clearing storage, removing the extension, losing access to the profile, or a device failure can cause permanent data loss.
You can rename, pin, and delete Contexts, and remove attachments from selected versions. Generated fields are immutable. Deleting a Context family removes its saved version history locally. Signing out removes the local workspace access record but does not delete the Library.
A recipient keeps a separate copy of shared data. Deletion on your device does not recall a chat message or erase copies held by recipients or external services. Protect complete shareable links as you would the information they contain; a person who obtains an unexpired link may be able to receive it.
5. Availability and compatibility
Supported AI websites can change their interfaces at any time. Capture can include only information that the integration can recognise and access; collapsed, unloaded, unavailable, or unsupported material may be missing. Attachments may not be recoverable. Not every browser, conversation, provider update, or transfer environment is supported.
The website Library requires the extension to be enabled, configured to trust this exact site origin, and unlocked in the same Chrome profile. Service interruptions, maintenance, provider limits, network failures, and software changes can affect availability. Features can change or be discontinued, subject to applicable law and any separate commitments.
6. Charges
This website currently offers no paid plan, subscription, payment checkout, or automatic renewal. Your own third-party accounts, connectivity, or provider usage may have separate charges under their terms. Any future Context Container paid offering will describe its price, billing, cancellation, and applicable terms before you purchase it.
7. Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the product is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free capture, data preservation, compatibility, or a particular result. You are responsible for reviewing outputs, protecting your device and links, keeping backups, and deciding whether to send information to another service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the product, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss of data. This does not exclude or limit liability where doing so is unlawful, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, deliberate misconduct, or mandatory consumer protections. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
8. Ending use and changes to these terms
You can stop using the product at any time and uninstall the extension. If you want to remove saved local data, delete it through the available controls or clear the extension’s browser storage. Stopping use does not undo transfers already made.
Updated terms will be published on this page with an updated date. Material changes will receive any additional notice or agreement required by law. If you do not agree to new terms, stop using the affected service. An update does not remove rights or obligations that applicable law preserves.
9. Questions, disputes, and applicable rights
Contact the publisher below with questions or a dispute so it can be investigated. Nothing in these terms prevents you from exercising mandatory rights or seeking a remedy from a court or authority with jurisdiction under applicable law. These terms do not require arbitration or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
