Frequently asked questions
How the Library connects, what stays local, and what happens when you choose a handoff.

Getting started
The product and the chats it works with.
What does Context Container carry into a new chat?
A structured handoff centered on useful project state: goals, decisions, constraints, completed work, open questions, and next steps. It is designed to keep the signal without carrying every turn of the original conversation.
Which AI chats are supported?
The extension currently supports ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek, and Grok. Compatibility can change when those services update their interfaces.
Is there a paid plan?
Pricing information is coming soon. This website does not offer checkout or payment processing.
Your Library
Storage, connection, and attachments.
Where are saved Contexts kept?
The extension stores Contexts and their source metadata in this browser profile using local browser storage. The website Library reads safe summaries and metadata from the installed extension. There is no Context Container cloud library or cross-device sync.
Why can’t I see my Library?
The Library page needs Chrome, Context Container installed in the same profile, and an unlocked extension workspace. The production website origin also needs to be explicitly allowed by the installed extension.
Can I use the website Library on another device?
No. The website connects only to the extension installed in the same Chrome profile. Contexts and pins do not sync across profiles or devices.
Why does my Library show a reconnect message?
A temporary extension disconnect can interrupt uploads or refreshes. The page keeps its last loaded list visible in memory while reconnecting. Select Retry, return focus to the page, or wait for the next refresh. The list is not a second stored copy of your Contexts.
Why is an attachment marked unavailable?
An attachment reference does not always include saved file bytes. If you have the original file, choose Upload to attach a local copy to that Context version. Removing an attachment asks for confirmation in the page.
Capture & handoff
What moves, and when you choose to move it.
Does capture send conversation data to an AI service?
The AI-enabled extension sends the selected conversation and eligible visible previews to the extraction provider configured for that extension build. The structured Context is then saved locally. Review the extension’s disclosure and the provider terms before capturing sensitive work.
Does the website receive my Context body or transcript?
No. The site requests only Library summaries, version summaries, and attachment metadata. If you choose Upload for a file, the page handles that selected file temporarily and transfers it directly to the extension; it is not sent to the website’s server. The site does not request Context bodies, transcripts, or provider URLs.
When does a Context reach another AI chat?
From the extension, after you choose an insertion or handoff action. The extension inserts the Context into the selected supported chat and completes the handoff according to that site’s integration. Opening the website or browsing the Library does not send a message.
